INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard declared today Fever Friday and encouraged fans to wear red in spirit of the WNBA finals.
Pregame festivities were held on Georgia Street where all of the food trucks are parked. A rally for the Fever was also held across from the Indianapolis Convention Center. Mascot Freddy Fever was there passing out swag to fans.
Mobile chefs were also in the spirit, with many came up with unique creations.
“Today’s menu is spicy pulled pork. It’s been in our smoker for 24 hours. This was made for Fever fans! We want to see them win,” said Nate Johnson owner of Johnson’s BBQ Shack.
The best of five series moves to Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Fridays game against the Minnesota Lynx starts at 8 p.m.
