CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A dog with serious injuries now needs to use a wheelchair to get around.

The dog’s former owner, Derric Jenkins, plead guilty to a cruelty to animals charge after the dog was hit by a car and he allegedly never took him to the vet.

After months of treatment, the dog named “Little Man” is finally ready for adoption.

He has been with Cheatham County’s Animal Control since July.

T.J. Jordi, the director of Cheatham County’s Animal Control, said Little Man has been dragging himself for about two months.

“His paws were down below the bone,” said Jordi, describing his injuries. “When we got him all cleaned up, not only could you see the bone but you could actually see the bone marrow inside of the bone,” he continued.

If you would like to adopt Little Man, head to Noah’s Ark Society’s website.
