3-year-old killed in I-70 crash identified

HENRY COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A 3-year-old girl died and a mother and child were airlifted for treatment after a crash on I-70 in Henry County on Saturday, according to officials.

Four cars were involved in a crash at the 131 mile marker of I-70, near S. Wilbur Wright Road, on the far southeast side of Henry County, according to the county coroner.

The 3-year-old was identified on Sunday as Brooklynn Pope.

Indiana State Police said at 4:15 p.m. that all eastbound lanes of I-70 remained closed.

The mother and child were flown to Indianapolis hospitals in unknown conditions. Their names have not been released.
