LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) — Lawrence police said Sunday that further investigation revealed a shooting Saturday afternoon did not involve Craigslist or a video game system.

Officers were called to the 5400 block of Calder Way around 1:30 p.m.

Police initially believed an 18-year-old was shot during a Craigslist meetup for the sale of a video game system.

Now, police tell 24-Hour News 8 that they were lied to and the suspect and victim did not meet on Craigslist and a video game system was not involved.

Police are still investigating to determine what led up to the shooting.

The victim was taken Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in stable condition, according to police.

No suspect information has been released.
