Farmer dies in field fire
FOWLER, Ind. (WLFI) – A field fire claimed the life of a rural Fowler man today.
The fire broke out around 3 p.m. Tuesday on County Road 100 East, near County Road 900 North, in Benton County.
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office says a 61-year-old farmer died from smoke inhalation, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s name is being withheld at this time until family has been notified.
