ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) — A police officer with the Anderson Police Department was sentenced on OWI charges.

Christopher Hoyle won’t serve time in jail, after a judge suspended all of his two-month sentence. His driver’s license was suspended for two months, but has since been activated. Hoyle will have to serve one year of probation.

Court documents show that Hoyle was weaving and crossing the center line in the area of State Road 37 and Greenfield Avenue on July 2 just after midnight.

Hoyle told officers he had a “couple beers” a few hours earlier earlier at Klipsch Music Center.

Hoyle had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and an odor of alcohol, according to police. His alcohol content level was tested and registered at a .11.
