CROWN POINT, Ind. (AP) – A 17-year-old boy who’s being charged as an adult has pleaded not guilty in the shooting deaths of two Gary brothers.

The (Munster) Times reports that Aarion J. Greenwood pleaded not guilty Tuesday to two counts each of murder, murder in the perpetration of kidnapping and kidnapping. He’s among seven people facing the same charges in the killings of 18-year-old Arreon Lackey and 16-year-old Antonio Lackey.

Their decomposed bodies were found July 17, 2014 in a wooded area of Hobart, 11 days after their mother reported them missing.

Court records say surveillance video shows the suspects leading the brothers barefoot from a Merrillville motel.

Greenwood’s father, stepmother, brother, grandfather, girlfriend and friend also are charged in the double homicide. Several of them are expected to appear in court later this week.
