Indy teens arrested after deadly Terre Haute shooting

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – An early morning shooting in Terre Haute this weekend ended with one person dead and two others arrested.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday at a home on South 13 1/2 Street. Officials say it was an after party.

Police say they responded to shots fired with a person down. Officials say when they arrived on scene they found a male, non-responsive, on the ground in an open field.

Officials say the male was taken to Union Hospital where he later died. Officials report two other males also arrived at Union Hospital with injuries consistent to gunshot wounds. They were both treated and released to speak with investigators.

After conducting several interviews, police say they collected evidence, indicating multiple firearms had been fired at different locations within the scene.

Officials say the victim was not a local resident. His name is not being released at this time.

Officials arrested Khalil Davis, 19, Indianapolis and Leon Johnson, Jr., 19, Indianapolis. Both are facing charges of criminal recklessness, a Level 5 felony.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
