INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano addressed the media Monday afternoon.

The Colts fell to the New England Patriots 34-27 Sunday night at Lucas Oil Stadium, but the main topic of news conference shifted to  the botched fake punt play that took place late in the game.

When talking about the specific, Pagano took sole responsibility for the bizarre play.

“I obviously didn’t do a good enough job and that’s on me, that’s not on these players,” said Pagano.

He also discussed what the play was designed to do.

“It was designed to get them to use a timeout.”

The game against the Patriots also marked the return to action for Andrew Luck, who had missed the two previous games due to a shoulder injury. Pagano also talked about the performance of his Pro Bowl quarterback.

“I thought he did a great job, over 300 yards, made great decisions and took what the defense was giving him,” Pagano said.

The Colts take on the New Orleans Saints Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
