Multiple crews working southwest side fire

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Large smoke could been seen billowing on the city’s southwest side on Tuesday afternoon.

Crews including the Decatur Township Fire Department and the Wayne Township Fire Department are working the fire, which was reported just before 4:30 in the 5400 block of Seerley Road.

According to Decatur Township Fire Chief Pascal Arnes, an abandoned shed caught fire and the wind carried the fire into a nearby field and forest.

Arnes said that the field fire was pretty much out around 5:30 p.m.
