IMPD: Person sleeping in south side road hit by car
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A person was said to be OK after being hit by a car on the south side of Indianapolis Wednesday morning.
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials, it happened shortly before 5 a.m. near East Raymond Street and Madison Avenue.
Police say a person was sleeping in the roadway when they were hit. The striking vehicle stayed on scene, police said.
The victim was transported to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment.
