Susan Brooks prepared to question Hillary Clinton

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Republican Susan Brooks of Carmel is on the Benghazi committee that will question Hillary Clinton on Thursday.

She says she’s been spending hours going over emails and documents from the State Department while refining the questions that she plans to ask the former Secretary of State.

It will be the first public meeting in 10 months of the House committee investigating the attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012.

There were four people that were killed including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.

A report later found that security at the embassy was grossly inadequate.

Democrats contend that the investigation is a partisan effort fueled by a Republican desire to hurt Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid.

Brooks says that’s not the case.

“I really believe that as the leader of the agency we need to understand what did she know, when did she know it, what did she do about it?,” said Brooks. “Those are the types of questions we’ll be asking her.”

Clinton will be the only witness in the daylong hearing.

It will be months before there is a final report from the Benghazi Committee.
