Docs: Nursing home worker exposed self, fondled residents

GREENFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — An employee at a senior center faces multiple felony charges after accusations of sexual battery.

Three residents at Kindred Senior Center said Austin Gough either exposed himself or fondled them. One of the residents has a “moderate level” of dementia, according to court documents.

Gough now faces six felony counts in Hancock County for sexual battery and attempted sexual battery. All charges are level six felonies.

An investigation began after the executive director of the center contacted police.

Police said that Gough was responsible for getting residents ready for bed, changing their briefs and giving them showers.

Court documents state that Gough was suspended by the center pending an investigation. He had previously turned in his resignation.

24-Hour News 8 reached out to Kindred but a response was not immediately available.
