Illinois-based candy company issues recall

WOODSTOCK,Il (WISH) – One company is recalling pieces of their chocolate because they may have undeclared amounts of milk.

The Food and Drug Administration says several pieces of the chocolate may pose a threat to those who suffer from a milk allergy.

The recall includes bars and mediants with expiration dates between October 22, 2015 – April 15, 2016.

Meltaway bars and meltaways that expire between October 22, 2015 – January 15, 2016 are also apart of the company’s recall.

The FDA says the products were sold in several locations throughout the United States and on the company’s website.

Distribution of these potentially harmful products happened earlier this year beginning in late April and went through mid-October.

So far, no illnesses have been reported due to the problem.
