INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — 911 calls have been released following Wednesday’s shooting that injured three people at Washington Square Mall.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department released the audio Thursday evening.

“There was at least five to 10 shots fired,” a woman who identities herself as a Target employee tells the 911 operator.

With tension in her voice, she tells the 911 operator that the shooting happened “right inside the mall, right outside our doors in the mall.”

She is eventually approached by one of the shooting victims.

“You OK, sweetheart? You got shot? Sit down. Come on, sweetheart,” she is heard saying in the 911 call. “I have a girl who’s been shot in the leg.”

She takes time to calm the injured woman.

“Come here, sweetheart. Come sit down, sit down OK? Sit down right here,” she said. “We’ve got to get help and they’re on their way.”

Police continue to search for two suspects in the shooting.

Anyone with information about the shooting or suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at (317) 262-TIPS (8477).
