Johnson County police looking for car possibly tied to burglary

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Police in Johnson County say they are looking for a car that could be tied to a recent burglary.

According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department a burglary occurred in the White River Township neighborhood on Wednesday. That’s just northwest of Greenwood.

The witness told police that he noticed a yellow Chevrolet Cavalier with silver racing stripes backed into his driveway around 4:30 Wednesday.

The witness told police that when he returned home he noticed his back door was open and the window was broken.

According to the police report, the suspect was able to get away with a gun, three Sony PlayStation games, a black and white jewelry box, two golden rings and several other valuables.

The sheriff’s department said it was not clear if the burglary was related.
