Injury controversy surrounds Andrew Luck

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Colts quarterback Andrew Luck may be playing with multiple fractured ribs, FOX Sports NFL Insider Jay Glazer reported Sunday morning.

The struggling quarterback, who’s passer rating is below that of when he was a rookie missed several games with a separated shoulder, and reportedly suffered both injuries in Week 3.

Colts general manager Ryan Grigson responded to the report with this statement:

Our injury reports are accurate. If people have any questions about player injuries, they should refer to our injury reports.

Luck, who is in his fourth season with the Colts, has appeared to be off the mark as the Colts have lost their past two games despite the quarterback throwing for six touchdowns, two interceptions and 645 yards over that span.

The NFL has a rule saying all player injuries that affect practice and or game action must be reported during the week. Luck’s possible rib injury has never been on a report.
