LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — A Lafayette homeless man’s dog has found a home for the winter.

Timothy Lucas and his dog Moe had fallen on hard times and became homeless a few weeks ago. Preparing himself for a winter at the Lafayette Transitional Housing Center, Lucas hoped someone in the community would be able care for Moe this winter.

Lafayette Transitional Housing case worker Lisa Yates said she received more than 200 calls from people all over the Midwest offering to take in Moe.

Yates also said a number of companies in the area have reached out to Lucas with job offers.
