HOWARD COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — An investigation is underway into a crash Monday evening that claimed the life of a Greentown woman.

Police responded to the two-vehicle collision on State Road 22 at County Road 700 East around 6 p.m.

Preliminarily, police say 86-year-old Geraldine Brady was driving a 2000 Buick Century northbound on County Road 700 East. After stopping for a stop sign at the intersection of State Road 22, Brady reportedly pulled into the path of a 2010 Ford Fusion that was heading eastbound.

The Ford was driven by 42-year-old Eric Hall of Greentown. Police say early evidence indicates Hall’s vehicle did not have its headlights on while driving on the dark road.

Brady was pronounced dead at the scene. A 20-year-old passenger in her vehicle was transported to a Kokomo hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Hall was also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Neither alcohol nor narcotics are suspected in the crash.
