Police looking for attempted bank robber in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – Police in Columbus are looking for an attempted robber who tried to rob the Jackson County Bank.

According to police, the report of an attempted robbery came in around 4 p.m. on Monday at the Jackson County Bank. That’s located at 400 Washington Street.

Police say the suspect entered the bank and gave a teller a note. The suspect exited the bank a short time later.

Witnesses tell police the suspect appeared to be a white male in his 50s or 60s. The suspect was wearing sunglasses and a camo hat.
