Police name victim in deadly Windsong Drive shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department have named the victim in the deadly shooting of a delivery driver.

Mark Miller, 27, was delivering an order to the 2200 block of Windsong Drive just before 10 p.m. from a China King. Shortly after he arrived to make his delivery, reports of gunshots were heard.

Police arrived to the scene and found Miller dead in his pickup truck, stuck in reverse and partially inside an empty apartment.

According to the Marion County Corner, Miller died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Late Wednesday, Miller’s family members and friends started a GoFundMe account to pay for the victim’s funeral expenses.

Just eight days ago Lisa Chin, co-owner of China King, granted an interview to 24-Hour News 8. She talked to us after robbers attacked her husband as he tried to deliver food in an east side neighborhood.

The restaurant will stay closed this week and possibly this month according to the owner.

“No man should take anyone’s life, the only one to take it is God,” said Eliu Frontz, a local business owner.

Police have no information on a possible suspect.
