Fundraiser offers one-of-a-kind chairs to benefit local children

Buy a chair. Give a gift. Support a great cause. The Villages, Indiana’s largest nonprofit foster care, adoption and family services organization, is hoping that you’ll join them in “CHAIRishing” every child’s right to a safe, permanent and nurturing home.

The Villages fundraising event, “CHAIRish the Children,” will be held Saturday, Nov. 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Lucas Estate Sports Pavilion in Carmel. It will help raise money for Villages kids and families, and all you have to do to help is bid on one of 15 chairs and pieces of furniture that have been hand-painted by local artists.

The custom-painted chairs were crafted by nearly 20 local artists from Indianapolis, Carmel, Zionsville, Brownsburg, Avon and Cloverdale. Each chair will be sold via silent auction with proceeds benefting Indiana foster children and families. A FUNd & Games Zone at the pavilion will create an active area for attendees to play and support the organization. There also will be a silent auction featuring experiences, including a Mixology class at Thunderbird and a Cigar Party at Blends Cigar Bar.

Tickets are $75 each or two for $140 and includes appetizers and two cocktails/drinks. Tickets can be reserved by calling (800) 874.6880 or online.
