Injuries reported after Megabus from Indianapolis crashes in Louisville

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — At least three people were hurt when a Megabus traveling from Indianapolis crashed in Louisville on Friday afternoon, according to 24-Hour News 8 partners WDRB.

Police dispatchers told WDRB an SUV collided with the stopped double-decker bus around 4:30 p.m.

Officials tell WDRB the SUV driver may have had a medical emergency that resulted in the crash.

“All of the sudden I felt this big jolt,” passenger Isaac Weber told WDRB. “Immediately, you know, I assumed that someone hit us. I looked to my left and I saw this guy here and he looked completely dazed.”

“Safety is our top priority and Megabus.com is fully cooperating with the authorities with their investigation into the incident,” Sean Hughes, Director of Corporate Affairs at Megabus.com North America told WDRB.

A new bus was brought in to take passengers to their destination.
