GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Deputies in Pitt County arrested a father overnight and charged him in the death of his two-month-old son.
Noah Robinson was found dead at his home in Greenville earlier this week. His mother, Labertha Broadie says she’s confused about what happened.
“Why didn’t he just say something, why didn’t he say he dropped him if he did? Right now the evidence is looking like you hit him with a PS3 controller,” explained Broadie.
The father, 25-year-old Charles Edward Robinson Jr. appeared in court Friday morning. He’s charged with an open count of murder.
Deputies say Noah’s mom left him with Robinson for a short time on Tuesday morning and, when the mom got back, little Noah wasn’t breathing.
“He (Robinson) picked him up and he says he’s cold and he picks him up and Noah was blue, and immediately called 911. I yelled for my mom and he was turning blue and his lip was white,” Broadie said.
Robinson is charged him with murder. He’s currently under a $2 million bond.
