Participants to run for a good cause on Thanksgiving

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Thanksgiving is usually day when most sit and get their fill and then some of turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie or another delectable food.

One local event happening on Thanksgiving gives participants the opportunity to burn off those newly-acquired calories, the Bolt for the Heart 5K in Carmel.

Captain David Bursten with the Indiana State Police and Pierre Twer, the president of Bolt for the Heart, stopped by to talk about the big event.

The discussed where all of the money raised goes, the history and origins of the event, and how anyone looking to get involved can do so.
