INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man died early Tuesday morning after a shooting on the east side of Indianapolis.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. in the 3100 block of East Washington Street, near North Dearborn Street.
According to IMPD officials, the victim was shot in the neck and was first reported to be in critical condition. Officials later confirmed the man had died.
Police say the shooting happened after some kind of dispute involving two men and two women. Officials say there was a party in the duplex and half of the individuals left. When they returned, there was an altercation inside that then spilled out onto the porch. The victim, who police said was among those who first stayed at the party, was then shot outside.
Details about a suspect weren’t immediately clear but police said that person fled on foot and was believed to still be in the area.
