Shotgun reportedly stolen from Johnson County home

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A shotgun and other items were stolen from a Johnson County home Friday morning, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. at a home in the 700 block of E. 775 South in Nineveh.

A homeowner told the sheriff’s office that someone drove a vehicle into the garage door.

The burglar then entered the home through the unlocked garage access door.

An air compressor, welder and Mossburg 500A shotgun were stolen, the homeowner told the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office says there are no suspects.

The vehicle that hit the garage is believed to be either black or had a black grill or bumper.

The homeowner’s 19-year-old son was reportedly inside the home when the burglary happened but heard nothing.
