Police: SUV flips after running red light in Lawrence
LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) – A driver was taken to the hospital Monday morning after a crash in Lawrence.
It happened shortly before 10 a.m. at the intersection of North Franklin Road and East 56th Street.
According to a Lawrence Police Department spokesman, the driver of a Chevy S-10 ran a stoplight and hit another vehicle. The Chevy landed on its top, injuring the driver.
Police say the passenger of the Chevy initially ran away from the scene, because he had a warrant out for theft.
A passenger in the second vehicle was taken to the hospital for a check out. It’s unclear how badly the driver of Chevy was hurt.
Police say drugs nor alcohol are suspected in the crash.
