COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – Organizers brought together residents of all nationalities in a show of unity against terrorism.
The “United we Stand Against Terrorism” event was held inside City Hall Tuesday.
Along with natural born citizens, many of those who participated in the event moved to Columbus from all over the world. They included immigrants from Morocco, India and France.
“That was the opportunity for us to get together just to show to the world that Columbus, (a) small city, we are an international (city), ” said event organizer Rachida Bahar. “Mix them together and do something.”
Bahar and her family moved from Morocco two years ago. She said they feel at home in Columbus and wanted to take a stand with family and friends.
