Longtime married couple celebrates 100th birthdays in Tenn.

BELLEVUE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Bellevue couple married more than 75 years both celebrated milestone birthdays this year.

Allan Little celebrated his centennial year earlier this month, while his wife Margaret celebrated her big day four months ago.

As he opened his gift from his beloved wife he proclaimed, “I got a jacket! It’s got my initials on it, and I like the color! Babe, you did good!”

The couple have known each other since they were young children and showed off a photograph of themselves from when they were just 4-years-old attending Charlotte Avenue Church of Christ.

As teens, the Littles shared their first date at the Nashville Knickerbocker Movie Theater.

Both graduated from Hume Fogg High School and married in 1938.

The couple told News 2 their lives centered mostly around their church where Allan was an accomplished song leader.

They also had three children together, all of which they have outlived.

Allan retired after working for the post office for more than 40 years.

Margaret worked for a national life insurance company until she married and became a stay-at-home mother.
