Police discover body while serving warrant

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – While serving a warrant at a north side house Tuesday, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers found someone dead inside, IMPD officials said.

According to police, officers responded to the 1400 block of Badger Drive, which is near 73rd Street and Ditch Road, because they had a warrant to go out and search the home. Right now, it’s unclear why.

When officers went inside they found someone who had died. The circumstances surrounding their death are unclear.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate.
