Man gets six years for role in August shooting
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indianapolis man has been sentenced for his role in a recent shooting.
Damon Jones received a six year sentence on Friday. Five years will be spent in the Indiana Department of Correction.
Jones pleaded guilty to two felony counts of battery by means of a deadly weapon.
Jones, along with Moses Davis and David Melvin, were charged in the case.
Police said the trio shot two men during a robbery.
Davis and Melvin are set to go to trial in January 2015.
