Santa’s Mailbox once again installed on the Circle

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – It’s been a tradition on Monument Circle for almost 40 years now.

During the holidays, the U.S. Postal Service invites children of all ages to drop their wishes and dreams into Santa’s Mailbox. It’s part of their Letters to Santa initiative.

The mailbox is located on the east side of the Circle facing Market Street. It will be removed on Monday, Dec. 14, so children have until the night before to write their letter to Santa.

Here are some of the letters the Postal Service has received so far:

“Dear Santa, I want to meet Nicki Minaj, but my Mom won’t let me because she lives far away. So, if you can let her know I want to meet her. I’ve saw all your videos.”

“Dear Santa, May I have a baby tortoise. And those sunglasses.”
