INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Snow showers continue across the northern half of Indiana. Isolated pockets northwest of Indianapolis have picked up a very quick one inch of accumulation, with more snow expected this afternoon.

A winter weather advisory in effect for much of central Indiana, including Marion county, until 7pm.

The dividing line between rain and snow will be right through the center of Indiana, with snow expected to the north, and rain to the south. Steady showers will continue through the heart of the afternoon, easing a bit by early evening.

Colder air will win out by later in the day, transitioning any left over rain showers to snow for areas south of Indianapolis.

Areas around Indianapolis will like see around an inch of less, but because of the heavy snow, visibilities could be limited at times.

Stay with Storm Track 8 on air and online for more updates throughout the day.
