Police investigating robbery near Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH) — Purdue University sent out an alert Tuesday morning about a robbery that occurred near campus.

The alert said that West Lafayette police are investigating. The robbery reportedly occurred at the intersection of Pierce and Wood streets.

Officials say the suspects are described as two males wearing all black. No weapons were displayed.

People were urged to avoid the area and call the Purdue Police Department at 765-494-8221 with any information. People can also use the WeTip anonymous hotline at 1-800-78CRIME (1-800-782-7463).
