It’s said to be a magical experience, and now it’s coming to Indianapolis! Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker comes to the Old National Centre on Saturday, Nov. 28! Carolina Siscanu and Rachel Newbrough stopped by the Indy Style studios to give us a preview of what to expect, and they describe how even the youngest of dancers get a chance to take part in this one-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

ABOUT BALLERINA CAROLINA SISCANU:

• Will ran auditions and rehearsals for local ballet students in 20 cities in just 8 weeks!

• At just 9 yrs old Carolina Siscanu auditioned and was accepted at the National School of Ballet in Chisinau, Moldova, graduating in 2009.

• Carolina’s ballet repertory includes the Spanish Dance in Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake’ ‘Giselle,” the Hungarian Dance of “Coppelia” and more.

• Has performed in Great Britain, Spain, Sweden, Italy, Belgium, France, China.ABOUT MB student “Dance with Us” program for local children:

• Those selected will work with the Russian company of 40 dancers in person at dress rehearsal at Olde National Centre.

• Beautiful costumes are provided by Moscow Ballet for the children’s roles and they will be fitted on each child with a costumer on the tour.

• This is often a once-in-a-life opportunity to work and perform with a company of 40 professional Russian ballerinas and danseurs!
