Chicago police arrest man in 9-year-old boy’s fatal shooting
CHICAGO (AP) – Chicago Police say a 27-year-old man has been arrested in the fatal shooting this month of a 9-year-old boy on the city’s South Side.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says Corey Morgan of Chicago is in custody Friday and that more information will be announced later in the day.
The victim, Tyshawn Lee, was gunned down Nov. 2 in what police say was a targeted gang shooting.
Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy has said the boy was lured into the alley and killed because of his father’s gang ties.
