INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police have released 911 call audio after a man was found fatally shot inside his truck on I-70 last Wednesday.

Derrick Gregory, 30, crashed into a guardrail. His vehicle had multiple bullet holes, according to Indiana State Police.

“[You] can’t miss it,” the caller said to the 911 operator. “It’s right up on the guardrail. Like I said, [the] wipers [are] still on and everything.”

“And it was just the one vehicle, you said?” the operator asked.

“Yeah, just the one and, like I said, I looked to see if anyone was there or hurt as I was going by, but I didn’t even see anyone in the cab or nothing,” the caller responded.

Gregory was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he later died.

Gregory’s family said he had no enemies.

If you know anything about the shooting, call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
