Local church hosting concerts to benefit food pantry

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — St. Luke’s Church is kicking off the holiday season with two free concerts and a way for the audience to pay it forward.

The concerts are to benefit the new Crooked Creek Food Pantry on Michigan Road.

Mark Squire, the director of worship and the arts, was on 24-Hour News 8 at noon Monday to talk more about the concerts.

In addition to the St. Luke’s performers, several community performance groups will be involved, including North Central High School Counterpoints, Circle City Ringers and Praise in Motion.

The shows are Friday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. St. Luke’s is located at 100 West 86th Street, in Indianapolis.
