Local enforcement officer responds to mass shooting in California

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – According to police in California, a mass shooting has left 14 people dead.

Captain Gary Woodruff with the Lawrence Police Department stopped by and gave his take on the deadly events in San Bernadino, California.

According to Woodruff, the shooting appears to have been a planned attack.  Woodruff says the three suspects look to have executed a plan in order to get in, kill as many people , and then get out of the facility.

He also gave some advice in case of a mass shooting, advising to always run to safety and hide.  He said staying and defending oneself should always be a last resort.
