HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – One person was killed in a single vehicle accident in Hamilton County.
According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, the deadly accident happened just after 8 a.m. Thursday in the 22800 block of Mule Barn Road just south of Sheridan.
Police say witnesses noticed the blue Chrysler PT Cruiser headed south on Mule Barn Road. It was at that time that vehicle then crossed the center line, running through several yard before slamming into a tree. The vehicle came to a stop, landing on its side.
When police arrived on scene, they discovered the driver, James Gallimore, was pinned inside his vehicle.
Unfortunately, Gallimore died at the scene. He did not appear to be wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. According to the autopsy, The coroners officer determined that Gallimore died of natural causes. And exact cause of death other than natural causes was not released.
Sheridan Police and Fire Departments also assisted on scene.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s office is still investigating.
