Joey Chestnut returns to Indy to defend St. Elmo title
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – World-champion competitive eater Joey Chestnut is back in Indianapolis to defend his title in the St. Elmo Shrimp Cocktail Eating Championship.
He will compete against the number one ranked female eater, Miki Sudo.
During last year’s competition, Chestnut ate 10.42 pounds of the spicy St. Elmo shrimp cocktail, which resulted in a world record.
He was on 24-Hour News 8 at noon Friday to talk about the upcoming competition, which is Saturday at 3 p.m. at St. Elmo Steak House, located at 127 South Illinois Street.
