1 dead, 3 injured in far southeast side crash
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man died and three other people were injured in a crash Sunday evening on the far southeast side of the city, according to the Indianapolis Fire Department.
It happened around 6:15 p.m. in the 8000 block of States Bend Drive.
A car collided with a van at a stop-sign intersection, according to IFD.
The 80-year-old van driver had to be extracted from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His 17-year-old female passenger was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
A 2-year-old boy in a car seat was also taken to the hospital, but he is reportedly OK.
The car’s driver, a 63-year-old woman, was transported in serious condition.
Firefighters are investigating what caused the vehicles to crash.
The victims have not been identified.
