INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The man who charged with murder after a deadly shooting on Indianapolis 500 race weekend was found not guilty on Wednesday.
In May of 2014, police arrested 19-year-old Avory Johnson for the murder of Max Levine at the Coke Lot in Speedway. Prosecutor’s dropped charges four days later because of problems with witnesses.
Detectives say they kept working the case and in August of 2014 charges were refiled against Johnson.
Johnson was found not guilty in the charge of murder and not guilty in the charge of carrying a handgun without a license.
