Missouri suspect wanted on sodomy charges arrested in Columbus
COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – Columbus police officers arrested a armed and dangerous man from Missouri who was working in the Columbus area.
Police served a warrant on Wednesday at a construction site in the 900 block of West County Road 450 South for 32-year-old Travis A. Kelly at 10:15 a.m.
Missouri police in the town of Mexico said that Kelly was wanted for 14 felony charges.
Kelly was taken into custody without incident.
Officials in Missouri say that Kelly was under investigation for having inappropriate contact with a family member under the age of 14.
Police say he was wanted for sodomy or attempted sodomy, statutory sodomy, abuse or neglect of a child under 14 years of age and endangering the welfare of a child.
Kelly was being housed in the Bartholomew County Jail without bond. He is awaiting extradition back to Missouri.
