Crews respond to overnight fire

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Emergency crews responded to a fire at a vacant residence Saturday evening around 10:30 p.m.

According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, the fire happened in the 600 block of North Tacoma Avenue.

IFD goes on to say that the first crew arrived on scene just after 10:30 p.m.

Crews continued working to put out the fire and were able to get in under control just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday evening.

IFD says there were no working smoke detectors.

Damage to the house has been estimated at $60,000.
