INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A group committed to improving the lives of Hoosiers with Muscular Dystrophy were in the holiday mood on Sunday when they held their annual holiday party.

The foundation held the party for several Hoosier families that are served by the organization.

About 50 children were surprised with holiday gifts, that were paid for by the Indianapolis Fire Department.

“It’s hope.  It’s hope for these kids that everything will be o.k., that everything’s going to be fine.  I remember a story about a kid last year looking forward to this next year, and every year thereafter, saying that was the most important day of his year,” said Tim Doyle with the foundation.

In the last two years, the foundation has helped raised $15,000 to help local families with Muscular Dystrophy.
