INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Officials say two people are dead and another is critically injured after a Sunday morning crash.

The crash happened around 2:45 a.m. on the exit ramp of I-465 at Shadeland Avenue, near Fall Creek Road.

Officers at the scene said Henry Pierce Jr., 37, of Indianapolis, was heading north on Shadeland Avenue when he lost control and hit the guard rail.

Police do not know if Pierce’s vehicle reentered the ramp, and was a causing factor in the remaining collisions.

A car driven by Reanna McCormick, 25, of Indianapolis, then drove up a small embankment in the same area as Pierce’s car, went airborne and landed on top of a second car that was heading south and being driven by Steven Mann, 39, of Jasper.

Pierce’s vehicle came to a complete stop about 50 feet away from the car McCormick was driving.

Officers said both McCormick and Mann died at the scene. Brenden Mills, 33, of Indianapolis was the passenger in McCormick’s vehicle abd was taken to Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital.

He was listed in critical condition.

Pierce Jr. was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, operating while intoxicated and obstruction of justice.
