Full moon to light sky on Christmas for first time since 1977

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — NASA says a full moon with be present on Christmas Day.

The full moon will reach its peak size at 6:11 a.m. on Dec. 25.

This is the first time a full moon has lit up the sky on Christmas since 1977, according to WISH-TV Storm Track 8 meteorologists.

According to NASA, If you miss the full moon this year, the next time you will get to see it will be on Christmas in 2034. It is expected to peak at 3:54 a.m.
