ALEXANDRIA, Ind. (WISH) – Duo country singers Joey and Rory Feek shared another heart wrenching moment of Joey’s battle with cancer in a new blog post on Sunday.

In a new post titled “A Gift” Rory says that his wife decided to get out of bed and take stroll.

“I guess the power-of-the-will is much stronger than the power of fear,” he wrote.

Joey returned to Alexandria to live out her final days after Joey and Rory made the decision to end cancer treatment for Stage IV cervical cancer that began in May 2014. Since then Rory has been posting updates on Joey’s last moments.

On Friday, after weeks in bed Joey decided to come out of the bedroom and join family and friend in the living room. And in that moment she was able to be something she hadn’t been in weeks. Rory said, “She was a mama again” to their daughter Indiana.

Rory recorded the moment and shared a short video in the blog post. He said when he watched the video he saw the Joey from a Christmas video recorded in 2011. He said the same joy and smile still shines through. “Cancer can’t take that away from her.”
